Dreamweaver Thursday: Christmas with Chameleon

All of this week, the Stampendous/Dreamweaver team have been showing off a fabulous new marker system...Chameleon Pens. These are so unique, and have a bit of a learning curve, especially when you're used to working with the various alcohol marker systems on the market. Once mastered, these are a great option, as you'll see when visiting the team's posts this week. Just an aside...Chameleon people...thank you so much for providing our team with complete sets of these markers, as well as the fabulous video tutorials found HERE.

Today's post features the House Mouse Designs® Mistletoe Bunnies, stamped on a panel of our Mixed Media cardstock, and colored and shaded with the Chameleon Markers. The colored panel was then covered with VersaMark ink, and coated with Stampendous Crystal Embossing Powder for a clear sparkle. Then the same panel was die cut with the Dreamweaver Oval Ornament die, matted in red, and adhered to the base card over a border of Christmassy ribbon.

As for the base card, the Dreamweaver Heart Ornaments stencil was paste-embossed in Translucent Paste, and covered with Stampendous Micro Crystal Glitter, and set aside to dry.

Stampendous and Chameleon...a Colorful Christmas Combination

My card today features the new House Mouse Designs® Christmas Characters, stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento, and colored and shaded with my Chameleon markers. The mice are a perfect way to begin using these markers, as they are smaller images to work with, and easier to blend using their toner marker. These work well on the Stampendous Mixed Media cardstock as well. I embellished the panel by adding drops of glue and Stampendous Micro Red Glitter to the berries, and brushing glue over the leaves, and sprinkling them with Micro Crystal Glitter.

I created a border/accent strip using the Dreamweaver Spiral Dots stencil in the double glitter technique, with both the red and glitters used above, on the Dreamweaver Double-sided Mounting Paper. The final touch, was a panel of that same sticky paper, covered in Stampendous Micro Green Glitter, and run through my Big Shot Pro with the Dreamweaver Holly Swirls die. More glue and glitter for the berries, and the die cut was popped up off of the card with bits of foam tape. (By the way, the negative portion of that die cut panel is being saved for another occasion.)

Woodware: Deb's Challenge...Nature Inspired

Woodware teammate, Deb Frost, has challenged us to be inspired by nature for this week. Love this challenge! The only difficulty is deciding which direction to go with it!

Obviously, I chose the sea for my inspiration. I mixed a bit of Dreamweaver Regular Embossing paste in two small batches...one with a bit of an aqua tint, and one with a terracotta tint, created by mixing in a bit of acrylic paints to the paste to get the shades that I desired.

I used the aqua paste to emboss the Dreamweaver Mosaic Swirls stencil on kraft cardstock, and when I matted in in black, and adhered it to a kraft card.

I dabbed a fairly thick portion of the terracotta paste on a scrap of cardstock, and let it dry. Once dry, the paste has a bit of give to it. This allowed me to place the Dreamweaver Nautilus stencil over the top, and carve away some of the paste using the Woodware Multi-crafting Tool set. The end result looks a bit like a fossil, which being the good geologists' daughter that I am, made me quite happy. I cut around the piece and adhered it to the card as well.

Finally, I ink-stenciled the Dreamweaver Seahorse on a piece of sea glass, and embossed it with Stampendous Sand Embossing Powder, and adhered that as well as a sentiment tag and ribbon to finish off my bit of nature.

Tree Hugging for Dreamweaver Thursday

If you've been a Harry Potter fan, then you know where my inspiration came from for this card. Since the Stampendous/Dreamweaver team are focusing on trees this week, I thought this would be a perfect time to post this unique card. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...if it's flat, I'll stamp or stencil on it (and in many cases, even if it's not flat!). I stenciled the Dreamweaver Buck on a piece of bark from one of the birch trees in my front yard, using Clearsnap Mixed Media inks, and a good stencil brush. To make it pop a bit more, I traced it in a fine black marker, and added some darker ink around the outside. To make the piece more sturdy, I adhered it to a panel of black cardstock using Beacon Zip Dry® adhesive. The kraft card base was ink-stenciled as well using the same inks with the Dreamweaver Bare Trees.

Frolicking in the Forest with Stampendous

The new Stampendous Cling Pop Up Forest set of stamps and matching dies (sold separately), are so much fun to play with! Reminds me of playing with Colorforms® as a child. Lol. All you have to do is stamp the images, color them (I used my awesome set of Chameleon Markers), and match up their dies to cut each out using your favorite die-cut/embossing machine. To add to the charm, I used the Stampendous Pop Up Die set to enable me to add more dimension to my creation as you can see in the side view pics. Gotta love the perfect sentiment for this card as well! Whoooooo wouldn't love this fun pop up card? It's clever like a fox, and not too squirrelly. Just a forest of fabulosity!

By the Sea with Dreamweaver and Me!

I'm on vacation at this time, taking an Alaskan cruise, and sightseeing in Vancouver, Canada, as well. So, this will be a quickie! My card today features the Humu Fish stencil from Dreamweaver, stentangled and colored in aqua. The background is the Mosaic Swirls, paste-embossed in Matte Black. Across the center is one of my favorite May Arts products, the web/mesh ribbon.

Under the Sea with Stampendous and Me!

Wouldn't this be fun? All the magic of a mermaid riding on a golden seahorse, through swirls of blue and green and branches of coral!

I tried to capture that feeling with this "window on the sea" card. I die cut a window on the card front, stamped the Cling Coral Tree with Black StazOn ink, and added sprinkles of Crushed Glass Glitter.

The inside was the Seahorse Ride image stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento, and colored with Chameleon Markers, on the Stampendous Mixed Media White cardstock.

The final touch was the Dreamweaver Nautilus, machine embossed on orange cardstock, brushed with ink, cut out and adhered to the front along with an ink stenciled oval of the Nautilus and the Cling Near the Sea sentiment from Stampendous.
