Woodware with the Mirror Cracked: Light as a Feather Wall Hanging

The Woodware team are playing along with "The Mirror Cracked" team and blog, and have been challenged to create a wall hanging. Here's one of my favorites that combines a bit of Stampendous, a bit of Dreamweaver, and plenty of Woodware goodies.

Using the Woodware Canvas pad sheets cut in half, I added washes of various spray inks over a paste-embossed in Translucent background of the Dreamweaver Gradual Dot stencil design, and a palette knife smeared bit of Matte Black Paste. The Dreamweaver Feather design was also paste-embossed in Copper over the top, and sprinkled heavily with Stampendous Aged Black and Aged Copper Embossing Enamels from the Fran•tagĂ© collection. Extra sprinkles were added randomly over the canvas and heated from behind to melt. A section of Mark Richards linen squares was stamped in brown ink using the Life is Art sentiment, distressed with ink, and frayed around the edges before adhering. A wood dowel from Woodware was painted black, and with bits of WW ribbon tape, attached at the top of the hanging. Extra tape bits were added to canvas as well.
