STMC5-Paisley Butterflies card

Here we are at week five in the sketch challenges. Wendy designed the sketch for the week and instead of an actual "sketch", she thought that she'd change it up a bit and have us do a technique...masking! Be sure to check out her blog as well as our other fabulous design team members and of course, the Stampendous blogsite for more info. Remember, if you play along with us, you could win a fabulous prize!
The masking concept is this, stamp whatever you want in the foreground, stamp again on thin paper (I like using Post Its), cut that out and use as a "mask" over the original stamped image. Now when you continue to stamp the other images you want in the background, your original image is protected. I used this technique twice on this card...once with the butterflies (love those paisley butterflies!) and again for my "scalloped" edge. In that case I used the Easter eggs to create my cute edge. I watercolored all these images (I know, you probably thought I only did embossing!) and layered all the panels to be similar to Wendy's sketch. Of course, I had to add ribbon...it's an addiction. Happy spring stamping and to all of you moms out there, hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!

I was wondering what stamp you used for the scallop. How CREATIVE!!! Going to have to pull out my easter egg stamps and give it a try!

LOVE your watercoloring on this! Beautiful card!!!
