Oma's Vase of Flowers

Here's another card that I made for my mother-in-law who has stage 4 lung cancer. Last week she decided against trying the clinical trial that might have bought her a little more time. At 87, she figures she's had a pretty good run and doesn't want to fool with any more poking and prodding and side effects and hospitals. So this week we will meet with hospice and all of us will try to make what time she has left as comfortable as possible. She loves flowers and has an amazing touch with plants. Her neighbors leave their dead plants on her doorstep and she revives them. The only thing that we can think of is that she talks in German to them! I put a ton of Prima flowers on this card. The image will be new to the Stampendous catalog coming out in October, so you are getting a tiny sneak peek. I added Dot Sparklers in the centers for some bling. She loved this card, even more than the last one I made her. This one was probably less involved in creating than the last, but she was so wowed by it. She's been showing it to everybody who comes to visit. That makes me feel good that I could please her with something so simple. Don't forget to take time to share the simple things with your loved ones as well.
