Woodware: Travel in Vintage Style

Image
The Woodware team are traveling back and forth from the UK to the US this week, and a few places in between! My travel-themed card was created with the Stampendous Cling Locomotive, Railroad Poster, and Railroad Map. Stamped simply in black or burnt orange ink on kraft cardstock, the layers are what make this CAS card, and the orange background card really makes it pop. A couple of brad fasteners add a bit of dimension and finish it off along with a stamped sentiment from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear Gears Kiddo set.

Dreamweaver Thursday: BLOOMIN' with Linnie Blooms Part One

Image
If you've been following along with the Stampendous team this week, then you know we've been having a great time playing with Linnie Blooms, a new product line introduced at CHA in January. So many fun products to decorate and to decorate with. Mixed with Stampendous and Dreamweaver products, the sky is the limit...or at least the canvas.

Stampendous Pop Ups, Puppies, and Pals

Image
Squee overload this week on the Stampendous team posts. Between playing with the new Linnie Blooms products, and playing with our Stampendous Puppies and Pals, you might need a dose of insulin to battle the sweetness!
Following the directions on the Stampendous PopUp Dies, I created the base for my pop up card with blue Bazzill Basics  cardstock and Stampendous Mixed Media White cardstock. I die cut the edges with the fun edge dies that come with the Pop Up Die set, and there are rectangle and oval nesting frames in the same set. What an awesome deal!

My cute critters were stamped from the Playful Puppies Cling Stamp set and the Kitties set, and then colored, shaded and textured with my Copic Sketch Markers. The texture of the fluff on the brown puppy was created by wetting a piece of terrycloth with Copic blending solution, and applying it over the colored surfaces in small patches, and holding for a few seconds in between. So easy and effective. All of the parts and pieces were cut …

Dreamweaver Thursday: Cheerful Cherries for the Picnic

Image
Yep. These are cheerful cherries. They are soaked in a nice red blend wine, so they're really happy! Great in a wine spritzer, over ice cream, or by themselves! Before I drank any, I thought I'd better decorate the jar and write my post. Lol.

The muslin topper was ink-stenciled with the Dreamweaver Opto Checkerboard four times with Majestic Blue VersaFine™ ink from Tsukineko®, and heat set with my heat tool. It was tied over the lid with a bit of polyester batting for added fluff and puff. A stenciled tag with the year of the "harvest" was created with the Dreamweaver Dual Alphabet Die and Leafy Branch Die, along with a bright "cherry" red button.

The front label was created with the complete Dreamweaver Cherries stencil design. The center was taped off while I stenciled the checkerboard around the edge. Then the outside border was taped off while I did the inside design. As this was a bit trickier to mask off, I used the Picasso tool to block areas while I…

Woodware: The Difference Between Men and Boys is the Price of Their Toys!

Image
My son has a few of these "toys", and they are his favorite things to "play" with. So, of course, when Stampendous came out with this Cling Motorcycle Elements image, I had to buy it. The card that I created with it I kept simple with a bit of grunge. Stamped in black dye ink, and colored with shades of gray markers. I placed the Dreamweaver Houndstooth background stencil over the top, and ink-stenciled the pattern over the panel in gray ink. The top edge was torn, and the panel was adhered to a black card. I attached two grommets, and tied a scrap of ribbon through the holes. Just because you're creating a masculine card, does not mean that it has to be boring or difficult. Be sure to see what the rest of the team have been posting for the "Boys and their toys" theme this week. You'll find the links on the Woodware blog.

Welcome to the Stampendous Picnic!

Image
Have you had the chance to see all of the fun summery, yummy, picnic-y images that Stampendous has released this spring? You can view them all HERE. Meanwhile, here's what I have to share with you today:

If you followed along with us last week, you'll remember that we had a fabulous collaboration with Clear Scraps. For some reason, my befuddled mind thought that it was the same week as the Picnic week, so I created with both. Um, yeah. So, I'm posting with my Clear Scraps banner card today.

The base card is Bazzill Basics Dotted Swiss in white, stamped with the Cling Picnic Ants border, using Onyx VersaFine from Tsukineko®. I paste-embossed the Dreamweaver OpArt Checkerboard in red on a small section of the clear banner, and set this aside to dry.

Meanwhile, I stamped the Cling Lunch Line in Tuxedo Black Memento, and colored with Copic Sketch Markers. I added the Cling Life is a Picnic sentiment as well. I cut this to fit a portion of the clear banner, edged it with a red…

Stampendous and Clear Scraps: Clearly Creative Hop Day!

Image
Welcome to the final day of the Stampendous/Clear Scraps hop week! Pour yourself a cuppa, and get ready for a clearly creative collaboration! Remember, there are three wonderful prize packages up for grabs. Just leave comments at each of the posts through the entire week for a chance to win. Prize rules can be found HERE.

I went a bit vintage for my project today...my inspiration being the Clear Scrap Deco Frame that I was given to play with. To give the frame some age, I applied Dreamweaver Color Solutions alcohol inks in Aspen Leaf and Creme Brulee to the back of the frame. The front of the frame was stamped with one of the images from the Stampendous' Natalie Kalbach Cling Studio Fiesta set and black StazOn ink. The template that comes with this stamp set is the profile of the man and woman, which I traced onto black cardstock, cut out, and ran through my Big Shot with the Dreamweaver Damask stencil. Some StazOn white ink was swiped over the embossed surface, and the silhouette…

Woodware: WINING About Sketch 42

Image
Welcome to another sketch challenge with the Woodware team...number 42 to be precise. Here's what the challenge design looks like:

I decided to flip it on its side, and broke out a fun Clear Magic set designed by Francoisé Read for Woodware, called "Cheers" for obvious reasons. I stamped a background with three of the words from the set on natural kraft cardstock. I used a 1 3/4" square punch for the two purple squares, and cut a rectangle for the pieces for the sketch. Each were stamped with a different wine-themed image in black ink. The final piece was the sentiment on a strip cut banner style, and popped up with foam tape. A sentiment from Francoisé's Friendships Clear set. Super simple and super fun. My next project with this stamp set is to create wine-glass markers from stamped shrink plastic attached on coiled wires. Keep an eye out for it!

Be sure to play along with the team, and link your own creations to the Woodware blog for a chance to win a priz…

Dreamweaver Thursday: Playing with Polly

Image
We are kind of having a free-for-all with our Dreamweaver posts today. Some of us are mixing the Clear Scraps collaboration in with our Dreamweaver and Stampendous products, and some of us who had no Clear Scraps, are playing with whatever we want to...so, check it out...

Polly wants to play today, so she has a plethora of positively perfect products to peek through. The base of the card was machine-embossed with the Dreamweaver Crusade Background, with  Bamboo and Rich Cocoa Memento from Tsukineko® brushed over the embossed surface. Using the Cling Jumbo Parrot set from Stampendous, I colored the separate parts with Copic Sketch Markers, cut them out, and machine-embossed them with the I-Beams stencil design. These, too, were brushed with ink...Sand Memento. Two Dreamweaver Monstera Leaf Dies were cut from more of the olive cardstock, and brushed with Bamboo ink. A panel of kraft cardstock was stamped with the Cling Old World Map image, inked, and distressed around the edges before …
