STMC10-Rippled Ranunculus Card

Saturday again, so you know what that means...it's the Stampendous Saturday Sketch Challenge #STMC10! Wow, we are already in to our 10th week. Time does fly when you are having fun! For more info on the sketch challenges, visit the Stampendous Impressions blog site. You can win some great prizes! Hop around to the blogs of the rest of our very talented team.
This week the sketch was designed by our own fabulous Wendy Price. The layout was simple, the twist was to stamp your own background paper. I created my background paper by first layering ink colors direct-to-paper using the ColorBox Chalk inks. I love the effect! Reminds me of layering colored tissue paper on projects as a kid. Anyway...back on track, Pam! I then stamped the Cling Ranunculus and a couple of the clear Ranunculus using a darker ink and ran the panel through my Corrugator. I don't know why, but I am addicted to that gadget again. Funny how you don't use a gadget or technique for a while and when you come back to it, it's brand new again! I stamped various sizes of the flowers and cut them out to layer, curling the edges slightly for added dimension. Created a tiny tag for the sentiment. (Yes, those are lime green Dot Sparklers. No, you can't buy them in that color. Use your silver ones and color with Sharpies!)
Hope you have a great weekend and as summer approaches...get creative!
