Hip Hip Hooray! It's Dreamweaver Stencil's First Blog Hop!

Welcome to the first Dreamweaver Stencil's Blog Hop! Here we are at day three of our extravaganza. If you have been hopping along with us on Friday, October 1st, and Saturday, October 2nd, then you know what I mean by extravaganza! Stenciling is an amazing technique that has been in use for centuries. There's good reason for this...it's beautiful and it's fun! Noel Elegance

Going in a different direction, here is a beautifully simple card for the holidays, that can be quickly made in multiples and guaranteed to elicit a "Wow!" from the recipient! The white cardstock panel is run through the Big Shot machine. (Tip: run several in a row for multiples.) Then place the stencil back over the surface so that the embossed surface fills the openings, and using the Dreamweaver Stencil's palette knife, smooth Metallic Silver Embossing Paste over the surface. (Tip: Place 3M Removable Tape around edges of stencil to hold in place.) Remove the stencil and allow to dry approximately 20-30 minutes. This part is the most time consuming to do in multiples, but lining them up and doing each one and setting aside to dry will allow you the time needed to complete the rest of the card. Cut and fold the white card. Add the navy textured panel, a print on a red panel, and cut panels to mat the focal point. Once the focal panels are dry, adhere to the mat panels and wrap with a ribbon bow. Finish if off with a rhinestone sticker.

Pretty in Pink Poinsettia

 Taking you in a third direction, I went for just not-so-plain pretty! However, this time I did a flip...no, not literally...but I ran a white cardstock panel through the Big Shot with this gorgeous Poinsettia stencil and flipped it over. Now the image is de-bossed, with and impression rather than a raised surface. Then I softly brushed Rocket Red Brilliance ink over the surface and around the edges to transfer the color over the veining of the petals/leaves. I used a very fine-tipped glue pen around the veining and sprinkled with ultra-fine crystal glitter. A few pearl stickers in the center then highlight the shimmery quality of Dreamweaver Stencil's Pearlescent Embossing Paste that has been applied to the pink cardstock panel on the front of the card with the Merry Christmas stencil. A sheer pink bow and

                                                      one of Dreamweaver Stencil's pearl pins finish off the card that will emit dreamy sighs from the friend or family member that receives it. Maybe not for the burly football player in the family, but someone who loves to be "Pretty in Pink"!

Okay, so you've meandered through the eye candy on my post, now you want to win some blog candy, right? If you have come here from the Dream It Up! blog, then most likely you have read the rules, but in case you haven't, here they are:
