Peacock Beauty Card

Peacocks are such a now thing and for good reason. What bird doesn't like to flaunt their assets (yes, there was a pun there) especially when those assets include such gorgeous plumage? I stamped this peacock and brushed it with Versamark before chalking the color on it. Then I added Dimensional Magic to the "eyes" of the feathers. The peacock was cut out and adhered over the ribbon and sentiment using double-sided foam adhesive. Once again, the focal image, the sentiment, and the frame all came from the same great set of clear stamps.

Songbird Silhouettes card

This card was created for a previous Stampendous catalog and I thought that I'd share it with you. Using the Perfectly Clear "Silhouette Songbirds" set, I stamped and embossed the birds randomly over aqua cardstock and used Chocolate embossing powder. I love the chocolate and aqua combo so much that I even have it my bedroom and bathroom. The swirls also come from this set (yeah, yeah, there she goes on and on about how much she loves the sets!) as well as the little flowers on the bottom panel. The entire card was stamped and embossed which always impresses people until they actually become stampers and realize just how simple it really is. The scalloped stripes on the magenta panel and sentiment came from a different set called "Formal Frames" which is also a personal favorite because it is so elegant and can be used in so many ways. You could change the color scheme on this card to maybe...silver and white with a touch of lavender...and you could make a beautiful wedding/anniversary card. What color schemes would you like to try with this set?

You're Tweet! Card

Okay, so the birdcages are just too much fun. Here's another simple, everyday card. Just stamp the bird, the perch, and the chain on card front. Stamp the cage on acetate (yes, just like the Fluffles card!), cut out, add cut out door if desired, and adhere to card. Tie a simple knotted ribbon and adhere at top. Stamp message at bottom and whatever you'd like to add inside. It could be a great Thank You card or just reminding someone that you care. So simple you can make packs of them in varied colors and give as gifts. What a "tweet" idea!
