STMC28-PWP Love Groove

It's time to play along with the Stampendous Saturday Sketch Challenge again. This week Wendy challenged us BIG time! She asked us to use a RAINBOW of colors. Sounds easy, right? Not really. I love color, but more like two or three at a time. I decided this would be the perfect occasion to break out all of my great Stampendous embossing powders and the the Painting with Powder Technique again. This Peter Max inspired cling stamp set would be perfect. I popped myself into my time traveling machine, and went back to the 60's and 70's. Groovy! Versamark ink was used to cover a panel of cardstock before adding bands of embossing powder in a rainbow of colors that would make Jerry Garcia proud! (Don't forget to pour the remaining powder back into the jar after each color.)
After the entire panel was covered, I wiped a little talcum powder over the surface to prevent static cling, and then stamped "Cling Love Groove" (don't you love that name? Makes you want to break out your old Isaac Hayes album), and embossed in black to make it pop off of all those colors. Despite trying to be careful with the powder, I still had some that spilled, so I swirled it together and used it on the panel that I stamped "Lovin' You" (now break out your Minnie Riperton album). This was cut out and matted with white before tying to the card with the polka dot ribbon. The rainbow rick rack and the Prima flowers add to the "mod" feel of this far out card!
Be sure to visit the other team members to see what colorful creations they have come up with before posting your own and linking to the Stampendous Impressions blogsite. Have a tripendicular weekend!
