Wreath & Holly Card

Here's another quickie post. This time a holiday card created for the Stampendous Holiday '09 catalog. Seems strange to be posting Halloween on one day and Christmas on the next, but this time of year is a wild card-making season! This card features Stampendous' oldie but goodie, "Merry Topper", stamped on a white panel and watercolored. Dimensional Magic and glitter was added for shine, dimension, and sparkle. The cute polka dot paper picks up on the round ornaments on the wreath, and the buttons on the Class A' Peel velvet stickers pick it up some more! Originally, this stamp was created as a "Pail Topper" for those great clear pails that Stampendous carries in several perfect sizes. They make perfect gift containers, especially for cookies and other treats as they are food safe, unlike most of the others out on the market. Another great idea for using any of the "Pail Topper" stamps from Stampendous, is to stamp them on the plain, round, cork coasters that you can buy everywhere (I bought mine at Ikea). Use an ink like StazOn for maximum durability. Do not emboss on a coaster as it will become a melted mess if you place a hot cup o' Joe or cocoa on it! (I tried that once...not pretty.)
