STMC14-Summer Swim Changito

Week 14 of the Stampendous Saturday Sketch Challenges (STMC14), and this is my week to create the challenge. I decided to make it a window card (a card with an opening to see through to the inside of the card). I used Changito because he's so fun and kind of goofy. I broke out some of my new Copic markers to color him on the inside of the card. The window was cut using Nestabilities, as well as the scalloped half circle and it's square that it was cut from. (No waste here!) Recently I've been working on my creative space (my studio as my husband refers to it!) and a put some of this clear shelf liner in the cabinets and on the top to protect the surface from paper cutters and other essential tools. I thought it would be kind of cool to use layered over print paper and I trimmed the top in a wave pattern to mimic the water. Amazingly enough, you can glue this stuff down and the adhesive doesn't show through! That is usually a problem for anything transparent. I embellished with a button, ribbons, and a grommet (not Wallace, just Grommet!). Have a great weedend, and don't forget to play along! Visit the Stampendous blog and the rest of the talented team for inspiration and rules, and win those freebies!
