Stampendous: Elegantly Eggy

Today is the finale of our Easter themed week over on the Stampendous blog. This is one of my favorite cards that I created for the October '14 catalog. I love playing with a bit of pointillism in my Copic coloring, especially when using my favorite colors. Aqua and yellow always make me think of my "Gran", and she'd have loved this card. The base is aqua cardstock from Bazzill Basics. The print is from Authentique, and has been run through my Big Shot with the Dreamweaver Quatrefoil stencil, and brushed over the surface with Cantaloupe Memento ink. The yummy ribbon is from May Arts (of course!) All of that is the frame to highlight this beautiful "Fabergé-style" Cling Fabulous Egg, with all of the intricacy of the originals, but far more
affordable!

Stampendous: Feline Fun for Easter

Nothing says spring and Easter like bright and happy colors! One of the best ways to achieve a bunch of those colors is to break out your Stampendous Creative Palette. Squirt some paints, or inks, or dyes, or in my case some Dreamweaver Alcohol inks, on top of it. Thin them out a bit. Swirl them, brayer them, brush them, use them as an ink-pad to stamp designs, or just create a bunch of artsy prints by swirling the new Stampendous Mixed Media white cardstock over the colorful surface. Once dry, they are perfect for stamping the new Pen Pattern Eggs designs over them. Add a stamped Easter basket with the Cling Floral Tapestry Background stamped over it, and a furry friend...the result is PURRfect! This particular fur baby is the Cling Feline Curious, colored with Copic markers, and cut out to hide behind the basket, mischievously breaking open the colorful eggs full of yummy treats. I think he's left too much evidence behind...in the form of Stampendous Color Fragments! At least he's appreciative...he left a nice sentiment from the Perfectly Clear Daisy Thanks set.

Stampendous: Bunny Wuvs Cupcakes

Pammie wuvs cupcakes, too! And apparently, so does Stampendous! All of this week, the Stampendous team are featuring our newest Easter images, including this darling Easter Cupcake. Mine have been stamped, colored with Copic Sketch Markers, and cut out, to be popped up on top of a chartreuse panel stamped in black with the Cling Floral Tapestry Background, and of course, the perfect sentiment for this card from the Perfectly Clear Life Words. Sprinkles of Multi Crystal Glitter were added on top, and in typical Pammie fashion...pompoms for noses!

Woodware: Hopping Along for Easter

This year seems to just be hopping along. Already we are thinking about Easter, and spring flowers, bunnies, and eggs. The Woodware team have been challenged this week to create an "Easter Delight". Mine is something fun that I made for the Dreamweaver team a couple years of ago, and is still one of my faves.

The base is double-sided yellow/orange cardstock, with the top flap only being 3 inches in order to reveal the inside panel. Aqua cardstock was machine embossed with the Dreamweaver Stripes/Plaid stencil, and paste-embossed with the Hoppy Easter sentiment and the small bunny in Regular White Paste. The top flap has a fun patterned paper panel, and a trim of green pompom fringe.

Now, the focal point. I used the Dreamweaver Open Egg stencil as a template to cut the egg shape. I "air-brushed" it using markers and one of those kid's air brush gadgets. Then I paste-embossed in white the Tall Daffodils and, when dry, colored them, as well as the bunny's ears, and inside sentiment, with the markers as well. The egg was adhered to a piece of larger white cardstock, and scallop-edged scissors used to create the pretty edge. I adhered the egg to the flap of the card with dimensional squares.

In My Easter Bonnet, With All the Flock Upon It...

For this week's Woodware challenge, I'm giving you a double dosage of Easter cuteness. Both cards feature the Stampendous Easter Bonnet Birds. The top one has the Feather Bonnet Baby as well as the Floral Bonnet Baby, along with the Spring Greeting. All of these stamps are in Cling form...easy to apply to your clear acrylic blocks and to see precisely where you are stamping, and still have the feel of stamping with rubber. These have been colored with Tombow markers, and Stampendous Fun Flock as been added for some vintagey fluffiness. To apply, just place some glue marker in the appropriate areas, let dry until tacky, and rub the flock into the adhesive. Very faintly in the background, you can tell that I machine embossed the card base with the Dreamweaver Damask design, and brushed lightly over it with an orange inkpad. All of the images have been stamped with brown ink to keep the vintage feel going.

This second card was created by using the Dreamweaver Open Egg stencil as a template...just place slightly above the top fold on your card  base, trace, and cut out with scallop-edged scissors. Trace a second one on patterned paper, cut out and adhere on top. The sentiment was stamped in black, as was the Feather Bonnet Baby. She was colored with markers as on the above card, but no flock was added. I popped her up off the surface with foam dots. A bit of glue marker was added to adhere a sprinkling of Frantagé fun in the form of Color Fragments and Fresh Green Glass Glitter. A fluffy bow was added to both cards to finish them off in typically Easter colours.

The SHAPE of Treats to Come!

 Here we are at three weeks into the Stampendous March challenge...working with shapes! My project today is extremely simple...a sheer covered egg box (picked up at the Target dollar section a couple of years ago) filled with Easter treats, and the tags are simply the Stampendous Cling Egg Trio embossed with Bark embossing powder on fun paper and cut out. A few Pink Dot Sparklers for bling, a cute gingham brad fastener, and the polka dot ribbon that originally came with the egg. No one said that the challenge had to be a shape and be difficult. Since I've been on a CAS (clean and simple) roll most of this month, it works for me! Here are the team players for this week:

Bright Blessing card

So maybe this is a little too late to be adding this card since no one has the time to duplicate it for this year, but I'm sure you can find other uses for it. Consider it my way of wishing you and yours a special day.
Simple to make. Stamp and emboss images in white. Watermark-stamp images on cross. Cut out stamped image, slit at ends, insert ribbons and tie. Add stamped tag attached to jumprings for swing.
Nothing says that a religious card has to be dark and depressing! Lighten up...it's Spring!
