Ceramic Coaster Creations
Just for the fun of it I decided to use some of Stampendous' latest images to create some new coasters for the tables in my living room. I had purchase these ceramic tiles at the local big box home improvement store for 70 cents a piece. I cleaned them with some rubbing alcohol. Spritzed them with Memories Mists Teal, used a heat tool to set the ink as much as possible, then wiped away the excess...leaving a nice patina behind. Then I stamped the various images using Black StazOn ink, heat set that, smudged a little black ink around the edges and heat set again. To protect them, a gave them a light spray of Krylon Matte Finish sealer. I applied small felt pads (also from the home improvement store) to the bottom to prevent scratching the surface of my table. I love the end result! Created by me (with the help of
great images from Stampendous) and all for less than $5.00 for a set of four! I also created a set of these using Dreamweaver Stencils, so be sure to check back to view those!
