Better Late Than Never? Lizzie Anne Designs Sketch #154

Somehow last week just got away from me, and this week promises to do the same. Taylor came up with this great sketch for last Monday, which included the "catch" of creating your borders with elements from the Lizzie Anne Designs sets. It's so easy to do, and yet why do we always seem to immediately reach for the stickers or the border punches? This is a far more creative way to add a border. For my card I decided to just stick with pink. I love this Dotted Swiss cardstock from Bazzill, so that was my color inspiration. Fortunately, Rouge ColorBox Chalk Ink works perfectly with this. My upper border was created with overlapping and cockeyed squares from the
"Timeless Textures" Sixlets Set released in January. I added the curly Q border and the lace border from the same set. Then I stamped the rose from the "Lucky in Love" Mix set across the Dotted Swiss cardstock panel, and stamped off once before stamping on the sentiment panel. I used one of these amazing new "Perfect Phrases", "Friends Forever". After adding my little embellies and the ribbon, I realized that simply by accident I had created a great card for the breast cancer fighter/survivor. Be sure to visit the Lizzie Anne Designs FB page to upload your own version of this fun sketch! Now...I'm going to try to actually get this week's sketch done THIS week!
