Dreamweaver: Thankful and Thoughtful Challenge

As we officially head into the holiday season, the Dream Team are challenging all of our followers to be especially "Thankful and Thoughtful" during the month of November. We hope that you will link your creations with this theme in mind on the Dream It Up! blog using the Inlinkz tool. Our "thanks" to you is providing you with the opportunity to win the stencil of your choice, and a bonus stencil of our choosing could be yours for using Dreamweaver product(s) in your artwork. I'm posting this for you today:

I created this card with the idea in mind of making several to send as part of Operation Write Home...a volunteer service that provides handmade cards and gifts for soldiers overseas, as a reminder of how greatly they are appreciated here. They have specific guidelines that should be read thoroughly before creating and sending, which you can find HERE.

Recreating this card is very simple. The base card was cut and folded using Bazzill Basics cardstock. The kraft panel (also BB) was ink-stenciled with the Thank Yous background stencil, using Memento Potters' Clay ink and a small dauber from Tsukineko. The colored panel was created by taking a glossy cardstock panel and swiping with colors of Memento ink (Teal Zeal, Potters' Clay, Peanut Brittle, and Bamboo Leaves. This was cut to fit behind the die cut Dreamweaver Tree Line Die, which has been popped up slightly with foam tape. I've added a yellow ribbon as a throwback to the "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree" song from the 70's, and the yellow ribbons that you see everywhere as a reminder that these brave individuals are protecting our country and keeping us safe.

By the way, the Dream Team are very THANKFUL when our followers are THOUGHTFUL enough to leave us a nice comment on our posts! Here's the "A" team lineup for this week, as well as our very special guest designer, Linda Neff!
