Going CAS for this week's challenge card. I created this floral card, but using Memories Mists in Strawberry Daiquiri through the Rose Bush stencil, and the ink left on the surface of the stencil was used as a letter-press on a second panel. Therefore, the positive and negative images of the design were created. Super simple to do. I cut the panels in squares and then triangles, and adhered them to my card. I stamped a wonderful sentiment from Woodware UK's Clear Magic design by FrancoĆse Read called "A Good Friend" with StazOn ink on an acetate panel, and attached simply with brads.
There is some HUGE news being announced today on the Dream It Up! blog, so head over there to check it out. Then you can see what the team has been up to with flowers for this week:

Just beautiful Pam! I love the positive/negative look. So simple, but so pretty. Love that saying too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use the letterpress technique. Thanks (again!) for inspiring me.
ReplyDeleteEasy technique for absolutely stunning results!
ReplyDeleteLove how you use the acetate over the top of the card so the sentiment can be the focal point and the stenciled portion becomes a wonderful background.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card!! The spritzing and reverse letter press may be simple to do, but the results are stunning! Using the acetate panel is such a nice way to add extra interest to the card. Looking forward to creating along side you this year! :)
