Woodware: One Layer Wonders

I usually have a hard time working flat. One dimension. And CAS (clean and simple)...as my followers know. Lol. So this week's Woodware challenge really was a challenge for me. Even still, there's enough faux dimension and texture to make even me happy.

I started with a basic red dot-embossed card (already I can't keep it flat!), which I stamped the Stampendous Cling Time for Love image in watermark ink, and embossed with Fran•tagĂ© Aged Silver Embossing Enamel, and added a sprinkling of Aged Black. This was heated from underneath to avoid the sprinkles from blowing all over the workspace.

I used a gray and a black marker to add shading and detail, and stamped a sentiment from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear Love Always set in black ink.

Now, tell me, does it look flat to you? Didn't think so... ;D

Remember, the team will be showcasing their own version for this challenge, so be sure to check the Woodware Witterings blog for links!

Gorgeous card, Pam. It's still considered one-layer even if the cardstock is embossed, still a fabulous job making it look layered with shading and shadows. Thank you for sharing your Stampendous project.
