Woodware: It's All About the Curves!

The Woodware team are playing with our first challenge of 2016..."Scallops, Curves, and Polka Dots", and my project today features a bit of all three. I've used the Stampendous Creative Palette to create the background for my beautiful blossoms, by squirting drops of Dreamweaver Color Solutions alcohol inks and its thinner on the palette, and letting the colors swirl. I placed panels of the Mixed Media White cardstock over the inks, and pulled them off, before cleaning a the palette with a bit of warm, soapy water, and letting it air dry. (There will be a bit of staining, but it will remain transparent.) The panels dry almost immediately, so I was able to stamp a bit of the "bubble wrap" design from Nathalie Kalbach's "Grunge" set in gray ink, and several of the leaves and blossoms from the Perfectly Clear Build a Bouquet stamps and dies sets. Part of these were adhered and layered to the front of my gray card along with stamped sentiments, polka dot paper, and ribbon.

Inside is really the star of the show with these Pop Up Die cards from Stampendous. The Die set includes oodles of ways to play...A large die that creates the fold for inside the card, and several fold outs to adhere your creations for amazing dimension! The set even includes dies for edging in scallops, and oval and rectangle tags for your sentiments, like the great Perfectly Clear set for "Sisters".

I stamped and adhered a round "doily" design from Nathalie Kalbach's Cling "Kaffee Klatsch", under the thin plastic "vase" for my flowers.

By the way, the Woodware Blog has changed it's address, so here is the new link.
