How About a Little Whimsey?

One of our new releases to the Stampendous line, is this beautiful Dreamweaver Heart Whimsey stencil design. So pretty, delicate, and unique, which I've tried my best to honor with this card.

The card base is a tent-fold pink card. I paste-embossed the design in Dreamweaver Glossy White Embossing Paste, over a panel of "shaving cream paper". If you've never done it before, then you really need to play in the foam!

Use the cheapest shaving foam you can purchase (I used Barbasol), and a small tray or cardboard box. Spray the foam inside, and once it's as poofy as it's going to get, add a few drops of re-inkers, or even food coloring, and swirl it with a stick. Place your cardstock panels into the surface, and pull them off. Use a palette knife or an old credit card, and scrape off the excess. And repeat. Let your panels air dry. This works on any paper, but the glossy cardstocks show it off best. It's also a fun project with the kids!

Once the paste was dry on my shaving cream panel, I used a black fine point felt pen to add simple doodling, and outlined the design to highlight it. A ribbon bow and a few tiny rhinestone stickers were added and then the panel was adhered to the card. The sentiment comes from the Perfectly Clear Love Always set, and a few black rhinestones were added to pick up the black outlining of the design.

It is so nice to see a technique that hasn't been used in a while. Very pretty background for this card.
