Colorway Challenge With a Slight Cheat

This week the Dreamweaver Stencils' Dream Team was challenged to create a card or project in black and white. I was really on a roll to stick completely with the specified colors. Using the Oval Ornament stencil, I "Zentangled" the image on both black and white cardstock panels using either Micron .05 black or Uniball white. Both panels were cut in half and matched with the opposite half for each card. A fun black and white harlequin paper, black grosgrain ribbon with white stitching, and a sheer white ribbon with a damask pattern kept me within the guidelines. And then it happened. It started with just a few red rhinestones on the ornament, and then a few more, and then...yep, couldn't help it...had to add some red under the Cloud 9 Epoxy sentiment. But, but...it's mostly black and white, right? I've got it bad. I'm addicted to color. Think you can do better? Come on, bring it on! Link your creation on the Dream It Up! blog. If you'd like, you can also post your design on the brand new Dreamweaver Stencils' official Facebook page HERE. While you're there, LIKE us! Don't forget to see what the rest of our amazingly talented team has been up to:

A lot of great minds thinking alike out there - I'm lovin' the half and half designs on today's posts. This would make a great ornament for the tree, too, since you have a ready-made back. Very cute card!

Great minds DO think alike! These are just beautiful, inspite of the red! No really, love them!

Pam...well done! This is something that I would love to have come to me in the mail, so much artwork in this card.

Very interesting how you and Louise both used those divided images! Your Zentangles look so delicate! Good job, as usual.

Pam I love this card even the red berries, I think it's interesting that we all seemed to add just a touch of something other then black and white. Your zentagles are fab and of course as always great card.

Seeing this Zentangles makes me want to get out my sketch pad and doodle away. Your card is fabulous and I think the red bling is the perfect cheat!!! I hope you have a great day!
