STMC30-Festive Face Card

Going festive with this week's Stampendous Saturday Sketch Challenge, week 30! Wow! Can't believe we've done 30 weeks of challenges, and they've been so much fun. This week our sketch was created by Rachel, so hop on over to her blog and check out her vampy version, before heading to Jenn, Cyndi, and Wendy. After all that eye candy, you will just have to feel inspired. So, get stamping and create your own take on this week's sketch, post it online with a link to the Stampendous blog. Remember, two prizes each week are given for the most creative. I chose to use this new image from Stampendous which comes as a cling set, "Cling Family Tree". It has kind of a quirky retro feel to it, so I went with more retro inspired colors, paper, and the pompom fringe at the bottom. I stamped the image twice and colored with Copics. I covered the top one with flock and glitter from one of the new combo packs from Stampendous, "Boughs & Baubles", which is all Christmas colors of glitter and flock. I popped this tree up over the top of the other image after cutting the face portion out.
The sentiment was stamped on a half circle with faux stitching (I was too lazy to break out the sewing machine). I love the fringe, but to get it to dangle properly I adhered it to the card on foam tape. Finally, I added a bow from this yummy polka dot satin ribbon, with a button and twine in the center. I love how all the circles repeat themselves in the paper, fringe, ribbon, sentiment, and the baubles on the tree. Hope you play along!
